ABSTRACT

Recent years have seen a rise in the popularity of documentary films on finance and the recent financial crisis. Titles such as Inside Job (dir. Charles Ferguson 2010) and Capitalism: A Love Story (dir. Michael Moore 2009) have enjoyed mainstream circulation. Others such as Four Horsemen (dir. Ross Ashcroft 2012) have taken the centrality of the financial crisis in the popular imagination as an opportunity to reflect on the wider structural context of capitalism.
