Objectives: • to understand Bible translation as a communicative process; • to learn to identify and analyze the frames of this process, commu-
nicative goals, and strategies used to attain these goals; • to conceive the text to be translated as a unity: identification of
this unity, analysis of its structures, analysis of linguistic and literary devices unifying the text;
• to develop translation skills.
