Reflections on the moral foundations of a right to energy

This chapter argues that a right to energy is among the basic human rights that guarantee to all people access to goods necessary for living a dignified life.1 More is necessary to living well than having one’s material needs met. But no one whose minimal needs are not met is able to live well. The right to energy bears upon the meeting of these minimal needs.
