ABSTRACT

This chapter presents a strategic framework for configuring health support ecosystems through corporate strategies for collaborative innovation across different industries in Asia and the West. It explained a management innovation model to drive consistency between environments and corporate systems, a requirements for telecommunications carriers to succeed with collaborative innovation across different industries. Here chapter focuses on a new perspective of organizational networks, the hybrid networks that span companies internally and externally, which are formed from exploitative networks and exploratory networks. The concept of hybrid network required to execute environment creation strategies and environment adaptive strategies. The chapter discusses how collaborative innovation between telecommunications carriers and stakeholders such as healthcare institutions and medical equipment manufacturers, local and national governments, the configuration of health support ecosystems. As a telecommunications carrier, NTT DOCOMO is engaged in collaborative innovation with partners such as health and medical equipment manufacturers, medical institutions, content providers, associations and facilities involved in the health and medical fields.
