ABSTRACT

The chapter presents two new insights based on a decade of field research. It also discusses how the proactive use of Video-Based Information Networks (VIN) across different industries and with customers is an enabler that drives the creation of new health support innovation models that transcend space and time. The VIN tools is the emergence of collaborative innovation through diverse communications and collaboration using VIN tools for B2B communications within companies and between companies, how technical modularization has driven the formation of new business networks and ecosystems. Collaborative innovation using ICT drives new usage patterns in the areas of B2B, B2C and C2C, and brings about new business structures, as discussed in this chapter. These networks have brought about new customer usage patterns, and have spawned the formation of ecosystems as medical, welfare and healthcare communities, described as the health support innovation model.
