ABSTRACT
This chapter discusses and explains the importance of initiative and the proactive mindset of entrepreneurs, as well as the support of government and local community. The Macao special administrative region (SAR) government further expressed and sent clear messages to potential bidders about public interests impinging on new casino operators to construct comprehensive casino tourism facilities instead of sole-casino gaming fixtures. The partial liberalization of the casino gaming industry provided new business opportunities with a new arena for the world-class gaming entrepreneurs to effect their innovative ideas for the integrated development of casino gaming with tourism and other related service sectors. Evidently, the long-term vision and proactive planning of these gaming entrepreneurs have formed a new ground for the redevelopment and success of Macao's casino tourism. Throughout the process of Macao's casino tourism development, radical changes and the vitality of the industry were influenced by the visions and entrepreneurial attributes of the gaming operators.
