ABSTRACT

The Nobody’s Perfect Parenting Program helps parents of children up to five years of age, who have difficulty accessing resources or support in the com - munity, to increase their parenting knowledge and skills, and promote the healthy development of their children. In short, it informs parents about the “whens”, “whats”, and “whys” of childhood (Public Health Agency of Canada-PHAC website: www.phac-aspc.gc.ca/hp-ps/dca-dea/parent/nobody-personne/indexeng.php). This chapter describes Nobody’s Perfect’s development and theoretical framework, objectives and values, target audience, and implementation, as well as the empirical evidence supporting its efficacy across Canada and in other parts of the world.
