ABSTRACT

All women of color function in the workplace against the backdrop of a race-conscious society. Apparently, Black women are still a triple threat in the academy. These assigned roles reflect the heart and soul of academic life for many women of color but can be a landmine for the non-tenured assistant professor. Be sure that there is an email thread designating the priority of computer purchase and set-up that generally falls under the auspices of IT support. The formal definition of colorblindness is the inability to distinguish between the colors of blue, red, and green. Notice that black and brown are not among the three colors that create the challenge.
