ABSTRACT
Unlike other countries such as England and Wales and the Netherlands, Belgian legislation focuses mainly on police interviewing in general. The same goes for the interview model, which forms the basis of most training programmes, being applicable to victims and witnesses as well as suspects. Next to this general approach there are several specific points of attention when interviewing suspects.
