ABSTRACT

Scandinavia consists of Denmark, Sweden and Norway, three countries which are all highly stable welfare societies with very low crime rates and a high level of transparency. Indeed, the three Scandinavian countries do generally have very much in common – both socially, politically and culturally. This is true also when it comes to policing, legislation and many criminal investigation practices. In this chapter we will describe similarities and then describe some of the differences regarding education and research in the three countries.
