ABSTRACT

This chapter deals with Gore's earth imaging which reflects the process of the people through global condition. The earth photograph impels to reorganize the sense of environment, politics and economics around the global scale. The pixel contained a revelation and the blue pixel stands in contrast to the planet's most widely reproduced photograph "Blue Marble" a whole earth image depicted from a vantage point located between the sun and earth. Blue Marble is whole in its depiction of the earth than Earthrise and it structures how people expect the planet to look from space. The imaging of the earth encompasses the broader spectrum of light and the organization of earth imaging, signals a shift to the "electromagnetic conditioning of territory". The origin story for the first color photograph of the earth involves an ex-Army photographer turned Northern California hippie dropping acid, having a vision and goading National Aeronautics and Space Administration(NASA) into releasing the desired image.
