ABSTRACT

In this vivid paper, Gray (2013) discusses his view of how sustainability is positioned within accounting education and how accounting educators can directly approach sustainability in their teaching. Intriguingly, many of the aspects that Gray considers important reflect the starting point of my own teaching endeavours throughout my tenure at the university. Hence, instead of debating Gray’s views, I will seek to engage in the conversation by offering a brief reflection on how I have sought to address sustainability in what I teach.
