ABSTRACT

Journalism has changed since the first edition of this book and will continue to change. Newspapers are no longer the kings of the industry and the Internet has given anyone with a connection and a computer the ability to package and disseminate information. Along with heightened access to information comes a greater need for people who can effectively sift through the material they collect, focus on what’s important and explain the most complex, impactful stories in ways the average person can easily understand. In this visual age, individuals who can tell stories with images as well as words are extremely important assets in the field of journalism.
