ABSTRACT
This chapter expands on the meaning of Design Performativity as an emerging trend in architectural design methodology, and discusses the ways it is transforming architectural practice. The chapter argues that performative design is not a novel concept, but instead has a long legacy in the history of architecture and vernacular design around the globe.
