ABSTRACT

During the two-decade span in which Thomas S. Popkewitz’s Reformas Educativas e formação de professores (coedited with António Nóvoa), Lutando em defesa da alma: a política do ensino e a construção do professor, and Politicas educativas e curriculares: abordagens sociológicas criticas were published in Portuguese (in 1992, 2001 and 2011, respectively), Popkewitz has become a major reference in certain areas of the educational debate in the Lusophone world, most notably in Portugal and Brazil.
