ABSTRACT

In this chapter we will consider how the breakdown of word formation capacities in individuals with acquired language deficits might inform theories about the way in which the unimpaired language system represents and processes morphologically complex words. To make the issues that relate to morphological processing more concrete, consider the relationships among the words that are used in the following strings that express ideas about trucks:
