ABSTRACT

There is no denying that if you choose to be an out, openly self-identified bisexual in the (heterosexual) world, you will be targeted by homophobia and/or heterosexism. On the other hand, if you are not out as a bisexual, you can reap the benefits of heterosexual privilege. There is much ado about bisexuals jumping back and forth over an invisible fence we’ve supposedly chosen to sit on. So how, then, does the bisexual community go about building alliances with heterosexuals and with the lesbian/gay 1 community?
