ABSTRACT

The recommendations put forth by the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) in the Babies and Bosses series will clearly maintain and in some instances contribute to the ongoing exploitation and overworking of women worldwide (Briar, 2005). A myriad of problems seem inevitable not only for women, but for diverse couple and family forms, through the adoption and implementation of such policies. Put simply, there is bound to be an increase in stress and conflict within families (Briar). As feminist-based practitioners, the potential problems for families and women presented in relation to the development and practices recommended in the Babies and Bosses report are of great concern.
