ABSTRACT

This chapter presents presidents greeting at the Opening Banquet of the 18th Annual NASIG Conference. There will be something for everyone, and plenty of time mixed in for networking and socializing. The president hopes that everyone gets a chance to experience the beauty and diversity of Portland and Oregon. NASIG is entering an exciting period of its history. The president explains that all have numerous chances during this conference and afterwards to bring up burning issues that are on their mind. The town hall forum will be an interesting new venue for discourse and president encourage their participation. They also offer a "Hot Topics" session that promises to add sizzle to the conference. NASIG is a tribal experience-actually; some have compared it to summer camp though staying in hotels will make it a bit less rustic-and president hope-a bit more civilized. The president attempts to follow in the path of excellent leadership provided by former NASIG Presidents.
