Introduction: Participatory Action Research: A New Vision and Practice in Latino Communities

We need to respect people who do things with their hands; farmworkers, carpenters, mechanics. We tell people, “you are on a deserted island and you can only take one person with you, would you rather have an attorney or a farmworker?” Professional people get those degrees to serve people who work with their hands. The people who create the world work with their hands.
