ABSTRACT

It seems that I’ve known Andrew Samuels since I came of age in the Jungian world in my late twenties. Probably that’s not true, but it feels that way to me because it seems now that I’ve always considered him to be my friend and fellow traveler. I recall that when I first encountered Andrew’s ideas, they opened my eyes to the possibility that I was not alone in my ‘post-Jungian’ strivings and views, even though he probably hadn’t come up with that term yet.
