ABSTRACT

A full member and former president of the Paris Psychoanalytical Society, Evelyne Kestemberg, 1918-1989, directed the Centre for Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy of the Mental Health Association of the 13th arrondissement in Paris and edited the Revue FranCaise de Psychanalyse. She played a major role in the development of psychoanalysis in France and, with R. Diatkine and S. Lebovici, created individual psychoanalytic psychodrama. The fetishistic object relationship described above is also one of the products of the self and contributes to organising the ego-ideal. Ultimately, the fetishistic object relationship that refers to the self seems to represent a mode of being in the world that is simultaneously close to and distinct from the narcissistic universe. which it nevertheless broadly attests in economic terms, while also being infiltrated by the objectal universe that has organised it, which in a highly specific way it organises in turn.
