Kenya is one of the … parts of Africa which seem to have reached my heart as well as my head … because, I suppose, I find both nature and man of absorbing interest. And man in Kenya is a rather comprehensive term; it covers a lot of types nearly all interesting in themselves and even more interesting when thrown together in that superb scenery of mountains, hills, lakes, and vast dry plains. 1
