ABSTRACT
The focus of this book has been on presenting examples of university-community collaborations aimed at promoting the life chances of Americas youth and families. Predicated on the establishment and elaboration of partnerships involving co-learning among community members and universities, the outreach pursued within these collaborations has altered in salutary ways both the higher-educational institutions and the communities engaged in these partnerships.
