ABSTRACT

The Clinical Supervision Program for Evaluation is described as implemented in the special education area in the Quincy (MA) Public Schools. Included are the history leading to its development, a statement of its underlying philosophy, and a detailed description of the various stages of the clinical supervision process. Specific examples are cited of the ways in which special education staff members have utilized the process, the critical role of the supervisor, and of related issues and problems which have become apparent as the program has been implemented.
