ABSTRACT

The information regarding operating results of electric windmills in connection with electrical networks refers to the Bogo mill with a swept area of 132m and a maximum capacity of 45kW and the Gedser mill with a swept area 450m and maximum capacity 200kW. The Bogo mill is erected on the island of Bogo, situated in the waters between the islands of Zealand and Falster. The day and night production of the Gedser and Bogo mills has been worked out daily at 9 am per day, per month and per year. Both on Bogo and at Gedser, electric windmills had existed since 1942, producing DC in connection with local DC power stations with diesel engines. The Bogo works was taken over by stsj llands Elektricitets Aktieselskab in 1952, the local electric windmill being reconstructed for AC production and provided with three blades with swept area 132m2 instead of two blades with swept area 240m2.
