ABSTRACT
As a theatre artist, I have been trained to find the drama of everyday life so that it may be faithfully reproduced on stage for realistic plays. As a playwright, I have also been trained to find the poetry in everyday language so that it may inspire the creation of evocative monologue and dialogue. This conditioning preceded my study of qualitative inquiry by almost 25 years and greatly influenced my introduction to the literature.
