ABSTRACT
All we know of Laurence Minot is that he composed eleven political poems celebrating the triumphs achieved by King Edward III against the Scots and the French during the period between 1333 and 1352. The poems are written in the Northern English dialect, but that clue merely places the author somewhere in the northeast of England between Yorkshire and the Scottish border.
