ABSTRACT
We frequently recognize people we have not seen for weeks, months or even years, and we are sometimes able to identify a familiar person depicted in a childhood photo taken years earlier. The ability to recognize others despite age-related changes in appearance is commonplace but remarkable. It is also a neglected research topic.
