ABSTRACT

This activity helps gay, lesbian, and bisexual (GLB) clients understand potential links between changes in their drug or alcohol use and the experiences of coming out and coping with homophobia/biphobia. It highlights the coming-out process as an ongoing and potentially difficult one for most GLB people, and identifies the use of drugs or alcohol as an attempt to cope with homophobia. It can be used as a group exercise or in individual therapy.
