ABSTRACT

This chapter explores the research by analyzing data on both male and female, adolescent and adult sex offenders, victims, and their families. The larger study focused on psychological, medical, urological, gynecological, drug, law enforcement, homicidal and suicidal histories, and sexual difficulties. Offenders, victims, people in both categories, and persons in neither made up four groups for analysis. The clinic provides bilingual psychological services, example, individual, marital, and family therapy; assessment, consultation, forensic services, and evaluations. Offenders/victims group had higher percentage of psychological difficulties, having a better chance of being psychiatrically hospitalized and being in treatment. N. A. Groth and H. J. Birnbaum presented a typology of pedophilia which is widely used. Money's pioneering work in the area of sex errors of the body, sexual orientation, and the paraphilic syndromes offers promise as a system of categorization. The sexual behaviors of sex offenders have been described in terms behaviors offenders of offenses within of the sexual offenses within the literature.
