ABSTRACT
This speech was delivered on the steps of San Francisco's City Hall on Thursday, November 27, 1985, the seventh anniversary of the murders of Mayor George Moscone and Supervisor Harvey Milk, following a memorial march. Cleve Jones cofounded the San Francisco AIDS Foundation in 1982 and originated the idea of the NAMES Project AIDS Memorial Quilt.
