ABSTRACT
This is the speech given by Jeff Levi, at that time director of the National Gay Task Force, to the Dorian Group, Washington State's gay and lesbian advocacy organization, on April 29, 1986. The two referenda referred to here are Referendum 7 and Initiative 490. The first would have repealed Seattle's Fair Housing Ordinance of 1985; the second declared homosexuals “deviants” and denied them jobs at any level of local government.
