ABSTRACT
This address was delivered at the Yom HaShoah service (an annual commemoration of the Warsaw Ghetto uprising and memorial to the six million Jews slain in the Holocaust) held on April 14, 1988, in Boston, Massachusetts, by Am Tikva, the city's gay and lesbian synagogue, at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Lohr was a founding member of the Jewish Lesbian Daughters of Holocaust Survivors. The Austrian election Lohr refers to is that of former Nazi officer Kurt Waldheim as prime minister in 1986.
