ABSTRACT
This is the text of the opening plenary address to the founding conference of the gay men's health movement, known as the Boulder Summit: Building a Multi-Issue, Multicultural Gay Men's Health Movement, given to the over 300 attendees of the meeting in that Colorado city on July 29, 1999. Veteran AIDS activist Rofes was one of the collective members who planned the conference.
