ABSTRACT
This letter was originally printed in one of Chicago's weekly gay and lesbian community newspapers, Windy City Times, on March 9, 2000, and is signed by eleven Illinois activist organizations. They are the Chicago Democratic Socialists of America's Queer Commission, the Chicago Metro Area Gay Youth Coalition, the Coalition for Positive Sexuality, Equality Illinois, Homocore Chicago, Hysterical Women, It's Time Illinois, Khuli Zaban, Queer to the Left, Transsexual Menace Chicago, and Women in the Director's Chair.
