ABSTRACT
This brief speech was delivered by veteran lesbian activist Barbara Gittings at a prayer breakfast in Norfolk, Virginia, sponsored by that city's Coalition for Human Rights. The Save Our Children campaign referred to was the antihomosexual effort mounted by former beauty queen Anita Bryant against gay and lesbian rights in Florida and in particular against the employment of homosexual teachers.
