ABSTRACT

The Motivational Induction Method (MIM) is used to obtain samples of motivational objects as they exist in homogeneous groups of subjects. The method is not assumed to induce the motivational state itself, but rather the verbal expression of subjects’ motives, concerns, aspirations, and fears. A general description of the method, together with a discussion of its validity and reliability, have been given in Chapter II. The reader is presumed to be familiar with that chapter and with the instructions and list of inducers before studying this Manual.
