ABSTRACT
This chapter deals with the effects of a variety of behavioral and physiological manipulations on conditioning, latent inhibition, and single alternation learning. The research has been focused on two related issues, namely the apparent dichotomy between associative and representational memory systems and the role of the hippocampus in the functioning of these systems.
