ABSTRACT
In the fall of 1977 we were approached by David Stang, who was then Editor of the Newsletter of the Society for the Advancement of Social Psychology, and asked to guest edit an issue of that newsletter relevant to women. We were pleased to accept his invitation and proposed a thematic issue. The first of what was eventually two issues under our editorship was the first SASP Newsletter devoted to a single theme.
