ABSTRACT
Systematic research on the projective assessment of achievement motivation has received much attention in the scholarly and popular literature since its introduction more than 30 years ago. Researchers have shown that the level of achievement motivation significantly relates to many different types of behaviors and attitudes. In working out these findings, some systematic theories have been generated (e.g., Atkinson & Feather, 1966) and the measurement procedure used has proven valuable.
