ABSTRACT

The chapters contained in this volume focused on coping of women through much of the life span. While social support resources were considered in each of the chapters the authors consistently employed multidimensional models to explain women’s coping. A number of common themes emerge across chapters. Some important questions are answered, some relevant questions remain and new issues with new questions develop. This chapter will attempt to organize the contents of the volume by addressing some of the issues that were repeatedly raised regarding methodology, theory, and applications.
