ABSTRACT
Small, pretty, and obviously bright, Stacey at 18 had definite charisma. The essence of her charm lay in a contagiously cheerful mood, coupled with the capacity to respond quickly to others. I met her early in my career, when she came to the hospital clinic where I then worked as a psychologist. She was seeking help for a pronounced stutter.
