ABSTRACT

Dr. Zeig is indeed a very difficult act to follow. It reminds me of a story that was told by Adlai Stevenson. He was the after-dinner speaker at a political dinner and he was sitting at the banquet table with the noted humorist Fred Allen. Allen got up to introduce Stevenson, and within no time at all, he had the audience rolling in the aisles. Adlai Stevenson had to get up and compete with this performance. He said, “Ladies and gentlemen, Mr. Allen and I were sitting next to each other at dinner and actually we exchanged our papers. He has given you my paper and I have taken a look at his, and I don’t think you would be very interested in it.”
