ABSTRACT
I wish to thank Ms. Madanes for a very beautiful paper. As she was speaking, I was thinking that the glory of this conference is that we are all here together, and that we have so many different approaches. I also realized that I had thought of her as intellectual and bright, but as working by kind of fooling people. But as she spoke, it was as if Virginia Satir were here, because Madanes has the love and kindness that I associate with Virginia. I am sure one of the reasons that Madanes’ families come back and get well is that she believes in them so intensely and cares about them. That came through beautifully.
