ABSTRACT
Before discussing models of intervention and treatment of child sexual abuse, it is important to consider the rationale for them. In terms of the offender, prevention of further sexual abuse and protection of the victim and other children at risk are top priorities. This presumes the willingness of the offender to enter into a treatment program if he is not incarcerated.
