ABSTRACT
Mr. and Mrs. R, both in their mid-thirties, were referred for therapy because of marital conflict. The family has a history of multiple problems including alcoholism, domestic violence (not current), hospitalization, unemployment, and stress related to the management of their four children. One child is physically handicapped, another is on juvenile probation.
