Introduction

This collection is designed to perform two functions. The first is to introduce the Circumplex Model of Marital and Family Systems to readers who may be unfamiliar with it. The second function is to update those readers already familiar with the model with recent work which extends the model and describes its use with specific client populations and social systems beyond the nuclear family unit (e.g., family of origin and the system of helpers involved with symptomatic families).
