ABSTRACT
The place where children actually spend their daily lives and where their everyday requirements are met, whether this be in their own homes or in alternative group settings, constitutes the center of the children's world. As children grow older, not only the people within their particular abode, but also those next door and beyond are included in their intimate environment— the children's personal world. The progression of this widening childhood perspective is pertinent to the following pages.
