ABSTRACT
Judith was 14 when she testified against a stranger who had abducted and repeatedly sodomized her. When asked many years later about her legal experiences, she described how the defense attorneys tried to change her story around and twist her words. She then noted that no one was in the courtroom to help her, the victim, during this traumatic time in her life. (Quas et al., 2005)
